I really need to get the following guy into a new home. I thought I had him placed but it fell through. If I can't place him by the end of the month I will be having him put down. If anyone knows of anyone interested please contact me.
"16 year old black QH gelding. He was a stallion until a year ago and is not broke due to losing his left eye when he was a yearling, before I had him. I threw a saddle on him in January and put my weight in the stirrups without swinging a leg over. He was very accepting of this and it would be a cinch to get him going. He is about 15HH. If interested email me at mruff@ruffs.com."

Actually, he is still here. I thought I had a home for him but I believe the term is I was having my chain jerked. I have another lady interested but I'm not sure if she is concrete on taking him.
If you would like to see him, I am usually available. 250-963-9760
I bought a weanling at an auction in Dawson Creek about 9 years ago. Par ole Sheik was at the same sale, and he is the sire of the horse I still have. How long have you had him?
I bought him at an auction in Vanderhoof just over 4 years ago. He was very sad and very scared. We used him for breeding for 3 years but with the poor horse market we have all but stopped breeding so I gelded him so that he could go out with the other horses and socialize a little. I started him under saddle this summer and he really tried hard to do what I wanted. Too bad he never was given a chance as a young horse.
It really is too bad, I have one of his offspring, and met alot of others. They are great, and they had to get it from somewhere. Had I been in the market for a stud and not a weanling at that sale, I would have bought him. He seemed so sweet and curious, he was the only stud there not acting like a stud. And totally my favorite build, low to the ground and burly LOL I will keep my eyes and ears open if you are still looking to find him a home.
Thanks, I am still looking for someone to take him. He is only 16 and in very good health but there are so many horses that are well broke going for next to nothing it isn't an easy proposition, but I know there is someone for everyhorse.
I know what you mean, I still have a mare that I have been trying to sell for over a year, I have even offered her as a free lease and still..... Oh well I know she is taken care of LOL And I know she would be perfect for someone, we just haven't met that someone yet.
