Wooooo hoooooo.....we got the other two horses home today. They gave us a run for our money, let me tell you! Wow. That little paint made us work.....got her loaded on and the poor sighted gelding......he let us put the halter on him (we never thought to try that to begin with Confused

) and he walked right in the trailer with the little paint already in there.
I had left to pick up kids from in town, the paint was loaded in the trailer and hubby and our friends were going to try a ...

After 3 days in labour my sister inlaw has finally had her baby boy!. Never knew it would be the biggest test of my patients!, I wanted to see him for 9months and these last couple day have been painful, but he is finally here!. He was born at 12:19am Dec 18 healthy as can be at 8lbs 1oz and a full head of hair lol. I gotta give her tones of credit cause its there first baby and she did it completely natural!, I dunno how she did it Shocked

But thought Id share the new, before heading to b ...

I saw an earlier post here that some of you feed your horses sunflower seeds......or more specifically Black oil sunflower seeds......what is the advantage to feeding boss? Is it for the oil? Protein?
I am just wondering, because I put oil right in with the feed for mine, but I do always have boss for the birds.....and maybe I should be giving some to my horses. Especially if it helps keep some of the weight on through winter.

well for those of you that don't know I ended up adopting a mare a foal that had be abandoned Sad

Been taking care of them for over a month now and the ladys hubby has just handed the horses over to me so now ( with the lawyers permission) , SOOO now I have a mare and 4 mnth old foal and a second paddock lol

Does anyone have a horse treats/cookies recipe they would be willing to share?
I would love to make some for our brood this year. I'll have 4 new horses, who I have discovered, have no idea what carrots or apples are and don't know to take a bite! Won't even open their mouths to try them. But then, maybe that's a good thing. Confused
